Not all Power BI, Power Pivot and Power Query training is created equal. This introductory one-day training course was developed and is taught live by Matt Allington who is a career BI Professional and Microsoft MVP specialising in the Microsoft Self Service BI Products.

The course focuses on teaching business users the basics on how to use Power BI, Power Pivot, and Power Query.

Optional Day 2

There is an optional second day of this training that covers the more advanced concepts of data modelling for those users that want to build their own data models and analytics using their own data sources. Training Course Location

Training will most likely be held at Regus 127 Creek Street . The exact location will be confirmed with participants the week prior to the course and will depend on the number of participants attending.

Things you need to know

The training will commence at 9am and finish at 5pm.  You will bring your own* laptop with Power BI Desktop installed – this will be confirmed in a logistics email the week prior to the course training date.

*If you do not have a laptop, please contact Matt – there is some loan equipment available if you are not able to bring a laptop with you.

Each month Power BI gets better and better as a product and there is no longer enough time to cover Power Pivot for Excel in these live classes.  But don’t worry – the skills you learn using Power BI Desktop are fully transferable to Power Pivot for Excel.  All attendees of the live training course will receive a free video lesson explaining the differences with Power Pivot for Excel to help you make the transition to using Power Pivot for Excel.

Cancellations will be accepted 7 business days prior to the course start date. After that time no refunds will be issued.  If you are unable to attend for any reason at short notice (i.e. with less than 7 days’ notice), you can send a proxy to attend the course in your place with prior agreement.

The training course may be rescheduled or cancelled if insufficient registrations are received up until 7 days prior to the course date. In this event a suitable arrangement will be made to either refund the course fee in full or reschedule to another session at the choice of the student. The objective is always to make you happy.
