I am the joint founder and host of the Sydney Australia chapter of the Power BI User Group (PUG) along with Iman Eftekhari from Agile BI. Next week on Wednesday 26th October (for the first time) we will be holding a live meet up in Parramatta to make it easier for people that work in the area to get involved with the community. Parramatta is the geographical centre of Sydney after all.
The topic for this month is Power BI gotchas: 10 biggest pitfalls of Power BI, and how to avoid them followed by a QA session with Ed Saunders, BI Manager at OEH. But the most valuable part of coming along to our PUG is that you get to meet like minded people that are all trying to do the same thing as you – get started with Power BI. We always schedule time before and after the formal presentations to allow you to mingle and introduce yourself to others, and find out what they are doing.
Please join our Meetup Group here and RSVP if you are coming. We will kick off at 4pm with registration, networking and some light snacks. At 4:30pm there will be the formal presentations for an hour, and then you are welcome to hang around and have a beer if you like.
I realise many of my readers are not in Sydney, so sorry for the spam. For those that are in Sydney, We hope to see you there.
Matt,
Any chance you could record the live session and post a link on your blog for us in the U.S. who cannot attend?
A couple have asked however it is a bit of a challenge. No promises, but I will look into it. This particular meetup may be a problem anyway.
