Last week I again had the pleasure of being invited by Rob Collie to be on his podcast Raw Data by P3 Adaptive. For those that are not familiar with my story, I identified Rob as a leader in the Power Pivot/Power BI space very early on (back in the second half of 2013, actually). I could see this guy up ahead in the jungle, slashing his way through the undergrowth, carving a unique and safe path ahead for himself. I thought to myself, “I’m not going to reinvent the wheel here. If Rob can do this, I can do this”. So I followed him, literally. I took everything that I saw Rob doing and I followed his lead. I formed my own company, I learnt DAX, I started a blog, I wrote a book, I delivered training, I commenced consulting for clients, and so many other things. And here I am, 10 years later, preparing for my retirement after a successful and enjoyable journey.
If you would like to listen to the podcast, you can find it below. We chat about a lot of things including my journey as well as that all important SUM function.
If you are interested, you can also listen to the first podcast I recorded with Rob and Tom, here.
Greetings,
will listen to it soon.
Yes, Rob & P3 was my primary source back in 2014.
Some clips from SQLug.se are still online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0O-MpuEiuk) and part 1/4 got only 3k views. Part 4/4 ~800. Did many people just not see what evolved to PBI today?
At least I watched them 10x. Plus, I learned a few things about american football.
Regards!
